Circuit Session for the 55 is made up of up to 12 movements which will alternate between cardio & resistance based exercises which are good for a healthy heart & bones. Chairs are supplied with each exercise for your comfort if needed.
What are the benefits of this class? The class will help to improve muscle & bone strength & general all over body flexibility. This means that older adults will be better able to continue with hobbies and daily activities independently. It can also help with mobility issues to undertake activities that have perhaps people have been unable to do.
I haven’t exercised in years, is this suitable for me? The exercise classes are age appropriate and are pitched at a suitable level. There will be a range of abilities in the class, and our instructor will be able to simplify or progress all of the exercises to suit your ability. If you do not feel comfortable doing a particular movement in the class, you can speak to the instructor who will be able to advise you further.
What should I wear & bring to the session? Please come to the sessions in comfortable loose clothing, or clothes that allow you to stretch, and bring a drink with you. You should wear lightweight trainers
