If you have difficulty standing or walking, it needn't mean exercise is out of the question. Not everyone can take part in activities like walking, cycling or dance classes. If you want to keep active, then chair-based exercise could be just what you’re looking for. Even a small amount of activity can be a tremendous boost to your well-being and help you to tone and strengthen.
Who are these exercise classes for? The classes are for adults aged over-55 in Lowestoft. All of our classes are for both men and women so anyone over 55 is able to attend.
I haven’t exercised in years, is this suitable for me? The exercise classes are age appropriate and are pitched at a suitable level. There will be a range of abilities in the class, and our instructor will be able to simplify or progress all of the exercises to suit your ability. If you do not feel comfortable doing a particular movement in the class, you can speak to the instructor who will be able to advise you further.
How difficult are the classes? Each class is different, however our instructors can add variations in for each exercise/routine to cater for you, whether you need it easier or more difficult.
What do I need to wear? Most importantly, something you feel comfortable in. It is recommended that you wear flat-soled shoes/trainers and loose comfortable clothing.
What do I need to bring? It is recommended that you bring a bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated, and possibly a sweat towel.
